I will dominate 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Still, the novice is still one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, consistently making huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters participated in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really proceeding.
